One of the most sought-after models within the house of Chanel is the Jumbo Classic Flap, currently serving many wait lists. This is a limited edition version of the patent jumbo classic, very rare and impossible to find, with embedded small glitter specks inside the patent coating.
Released for only one season in late 2008, this bag was kept as a collector's piece and rarely ever carried. The glitter shows as tiny specks that are subtle in white light, but will sparkle and reflect light when in movement or under daylight or warm light (see close-up photo).
A one-of-a-kind opportunity to own this piece - The only items that surfaced in the last few years was the glitter patent flap in the medium (10 inch) size by one or two reputable sellers, and sold for around $4,900. This is the jumbo size (12 inches).
This item is in excellent condition with very few signs of use. Comes with the full set. Corners are clean with no signs of rubbing or scuffing. Gold hardware is a deep, yellow gold hardware and shiny. Note: Chanel no longer uses 18k gold to plate their golden hardware as they did with this model. Interior is clean.
