To the delight of many collectors, Chanel's new creative director Mattieu Blazy has reinvigorated this Karl Lagerfeld classic for Spring Summer 2026 by releasing his own versions in calfskin, with a wide open interior, slimmer handles and a slimmer silhouette.

But vintage collector mavens have been pining over the "O.G." version of this Lagerfeld cult favorite - first released to the world in 2005. This one, from 2014, 12 years old and like new, not refurbished, recolored or retouched. Untouched.

The "Cerf" name has since been omitted from the current model name, as "cerf" means deerskin in French, as the Lagerfeld versions were mostly done in this premium hide that softens with use over time.
